About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: seated, helmeted woman holding a musket in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left hand from which medals fall, with the coat of arms of Delft to her left. Legend: SOCIETAS SCLOPETARIA (Society of the Musket). Reverse: winged Victory with palm branch in left hand, holding a laurel wreath above an empty shield with her right hand, intended for the family coat of arms of the shooting king, resting on two crossed muskets and a barrel with bullets. Legend: DEXTERITATIS PRAEMIUM (reward of skill). Exergue: empty. 3rd King's medal, die in use until 1792.
