About this work

Depiction of the so-called St. Maarten stone of ca. 1150, in the west wall of the tower of the reformed church in Bolsward. Built into the wall during the construction of the church in the 15th century. Stone with seated kings, animals, St. Martinus, and other figures. Subject headings within the Atlas of Customs and Manners: Trade, Industry and Traffic, Shop Signs, Facade Stones.
