About this work
The second sleigh in the procession. A large sleigh with four musicians drawn by two horses and followed by two Romans with swords. Part of a series of twelve plates of the sleigh ride on January 24, 1776, organized by the Leiden society Veniam Pro Laude on the occasion of the Second Centenary of the Liberation of Leiden (October 3, 1574) and the founding of the University of Leiden (February 8, 1575).
