About this work

The second sleigh in the procession. A large sleigh with four musicians drawn by two horses and followed by two Romans with swords. Corrected print with inscriptions. Part of a series of twelve plates (before the number and on different paper) of the sleigh ride on 24 January 1776 organized by the Leiden society Veniam Pro Laude on the occasion of the Second Centenary of the Liberation of Leiden (3 October 1574) and the founding of the University of Leiden (8 February 1575).
