About this work
The third sleigh in the procession. A sleigh with a knight and a herald of arms, drawn by a horse and followed by two runners with torches. Part of a series of twelve plates (before the number and on different paper) of the sleigh ride on January 24, 1776, organized by the Leiden society Veniam Pro Laude on the occasion of the Second Centenary of the Liberation of Leiden (October 3, 1574) and the founding of the University of Leiden (February 8, 1575).
