About this work
In an interior, an elegant couple sits at a table singing from a music book accompanied by a violinist. They are dressed in the fashion of c. 1620. The lady wears a bodice with bows and a very wide standing collar. Two paintings hang on the wall behind the couple. Beneath the image a four-line verse in two columns with Latin text. Numbered at the bottom and bottom right: 2.
