Parade of the members of the Ligue in Paris, 1593

A procession of armed monks and other members of the League in Paris during the siege on 13 February 1593. Led by Mr. Rose, head of the college of the Sorbonne of Navarre and rector of the academy. Some monks are shooting their muskets around them, while a group of citizens watches. On the left, some monks hold a banner aloft, depicting Saint George slaying the dragon with his lance. Between 1590 and 1593, similar processions were held more often in Paris. With title and subtitle in Latin (with translation).
