About this work
The golden cup that Cornelis de Witt received from the States of Holland and the States of West-Friesland for his share in the Raid on the Medway in 1667. On the cup an image of the Raid on the Medway in which the English fleet was destroyed. On the lid the Dutch coat of arms with the lion of Holland.
