About this work

Depiction of the golden cup with a removable lid, made by silversmith Nicolaes Loockemans, featuring enamel scenes of the events during the Raid on Chatham from 20-23 June 1667. The cup was presented to Admiral Michiel de Ruyter on 7 November 1667.
