About this work
Monument to the Peace of Rijswijk, concluded on 20 September 1697 in the Huis te Nieuburch in Rijswijk. In the center, an allegorical representation with a blank panel, surrounded by smaller representations of the house at Rijswijk, the peace negotiations, the proclamation of the peace, and the celebration of the peace with fireworks in The Hague.
