About this work
New Year's print for the year 1754 by Pieter Baas, the cartman (ash-cartman or refuse collector) in district 30, dedicated to the citizens of Amsterdam. Horse with ash cart marked 30 on the Dam in front of the Town Hall. Below the image on the sheet a poem in two columns with a song in the echo in three columns. The poem refers to Daniël Raap and the Orangists.
