Burned house on the Leidsegracht, at the corner with the Herengracht, in Amsterdam. After the fire on 12 January 1684 during a very severe frost. Extinguished with hose fire engines. With spectators on the ice of the frozen canal. With two-line caption in Dutch and French. At the top the text: 17th Figure Page: 34. Subject categories within the Atlas Zeden en Gewoonten: Government, Fire Brigade.
