Satire on C. Seyn, 1838-1839

Satirical print on the Leiden clerk C. Seyn, who is led to prison by two officers. In the background, an auction house for furniture where a group of women sing and dance with joy over the arrest. For his hobby (paintings), Seyn stole from the city treasury. To the right, several paintings leaning against a cabinet, a pot of syrup, and a peacock feather.
