About this work

Cloris and Roosje dance at their wedding. On the raised platform two violinists, of whom the woman raises her glass. To the right the guests and a man giving a speech from a barrel. At the bottom in the margin the coat of arms and an inscription to Jan Jacob de Bruyn, who owned the original painting in his collection. Scene from the sung play The Wedding of Cloris and Roosje. State before the letter but with the coat of arms.
