About this work

Satirical print on the eruption of Mount Vesuvius during the visit of German Emperor Wilhelm II in April 1896. The emperor is startled by the problems in his own country (Anarchism, Socialism, Militarism, etc.) that appear in the sulfur fumes. Published in the supplement of 'De Kroniek' on 12 April 1896.
