About this work

Issue of the satirical magazine De Notenkraker of 9 March 1907, first year, number 10. Cover with an illustration of a man from the navy, possibly the Minister of the Navy, with a cigar in his mouth, in a flash of fireworks that conceals a sinking ship. Part of a complete first year (1907). Each issue contains 8 pages, partly still not cut out, with a caricature by Albert Hahn on the front and Hahn's prints interspersed with the text on the remaining pages. In the letter 'D' of the title, a head of a so-called nutcracker is depicted.
