About this work
Long pipe cleaner, consisting of an oval, openwork medallion, crowned with a bow; in the medallion: woman, representing the Dutch maiden, standing in an enclosed garden, holding a hat on a spear in her right hand and a shield in her left; below: openwork heart and long quill, of which the upper part has an opening on four sides and contains a small ball, the middle part is twisted and the lower part ends in a point.
