About this work
Bowl from the VOC ship 'Witte Leeuw', reconstructed from sherds. The sherd is glassy and white and has little embedded dirt. The glaze is blue-tinted and flakes off over parts of the rim. The bottom is glazed, has oblique-radial ribs and a turning spiral. The footring turns inward and is rounded. No oven sand was found.
