In the foreground, two Samoyeds with bow and arrow. In the background, several reindeer sleds and a gathering of Samoyeds and Dutch crew members. One of the crew members demonstrates a musket. Opposite page 33 in: 'Warhafftige Relation. Der dreyen newen unerhörten seltzamen Schiffart so die Holländischen und Seeländischen Schiff....Anno 1594, 1595 und 1596 verricht' (1598).
