About this work
Crew members shovel snow away from the boat to drag it to the house. In the background, sleds are being made at the house, and laundry is being washed in a large cauldron and hung out to dry. Opposite page 101 in: 'True Account of the Three New, Unheard-of, Strange Voyages Performed by the Dutch and Zeeland Ships in the Years 1594, 1595, and 1596' (1598).
