The meeting with a Russian lodja, 12 August 1597. The boat lies alongside the Russian ship where the Dutch buy food and receive information about their course. Opposite page 134 in: 'True Account of the Three New, Unheard-of, Strange Voyages Performed by the Dutch and Zeeland Ships in the Years 1594, 1595, and 1596' (1598).
