About this work

Table on a veranda behind which two Chinese women are busy sorting the tea leaves. Next to them a child and a third woman. In front of the house a woman with a child by the hand and in the other hand a tray with a teapot and a cup. Part of a group of four gouaches on the production and export of Chinese tea by the VOC around 1750.
