About this work

Flag consisting of three narrow stripes: red, white and blue, three broad and again three narrow stripes, same colors, top and bottom short red-white-blue fringes, right a rope at the corners and seven red ribbons attached to the edge. In the broad white stripe a representation is painted: Mercury sits amidst chests, barrels and sacks, to the left of him a small island with church on the horizon, even further left a small sailing boat on rough sea, to the right of him the three masts of a large ship stick out above the chests, even further right a small sailing boat.
