Photo album with batik cover, bound with green cord and beads. Album compiled by the Hospitaal Batak Instituut in Kabanjaheh (Kaban Djahé) for the treatment of the Batak people in Sumatra in the years 1926-1929. Contains 32 photos pasted on 29 pre-printed cardboard sheets with the name of the institute and lines for recording information about the patient, his condition, place of residence, date of treatments, etc. Filled-in dates and captions are typed. The medical photos show patients with their diseases and some removed organs and tumors.
