About this work
Flat rectangular tin box consisting of two parts. On the lid, a border motif is engraved around the inscription 'MUHEBERG 106050'. On the back, the same motif around the Russian five-pointed star with hammer and sickle. D. van Maarseveen, camp photographer in the prisoner of war camp, bought this box from a Russian prisoner of war in exchange for some cigarettes. The number is Van Maarseveen's camp number. Inside the box are Russian letters, the year 1918, and an image.
