About this work

Silver round pot with a removable lid decorated with chased and engraved floral ornaments. Two handles. A gold medal from the Dutch Society for Agriculture (1847) is hinged in the lid: 'To J. D. Preuijt', '1st prize for fat cattle', 'Exhibition: Delft Sept. 1856'. The pot stands on four feet.
