About this work

Kwispedoor with a gilded foot and a trumpet-shaped mouth, and a black-lacquered bulbous body decorated with three relief cartouches depicting pagodas and a figure in a boat amidst a traditional Chinese landscape with trees and birds. The inside of the mouth is engraved with peonies, butterflies, and a bird.
