The amateur photographer Doijer often seeks out indentured labourers at the depot. In the photograph at the upper left, a man grips a young woman firmly by the arm, while another man holds his hand on her head. The woman seems to have no say in the matter and looks uncomfortable. From the clothing, this appears to be a group of Muslims from India.
