From the collection of Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Free to download, adapt and use — no permission needed.
Photo album in red binding with the title in gold stamping on the front cover, surrounded by printed leaves in black. The endpapers are of grey paper. The album contains 38 cardboard leaves with a total of 38 prints. These are views of sights in Norway, Germany, France and Switzerland: buildings, mountains and fjords. Additionally, views taken in Trinidad, Haiti, Martinique, mainly portraits of the local population and cityscapes. From Suriname, cityscapes of Paramaribo, the local population, festivities on the occasion of the inauguration of Queen Wilhelmina in 1898 and gold mining are depicted. Given the Dutch subtitles, the travel album presumably once belonged to a Dutchman.
