Outside on the street, a group of five Eurasian women sit on the ground. The woman on the far right sits on a folded cloth. Between them stand two naked children. The two women on the left, sketched in the drawing, are dressed in a long wrap skirt (redda) and Portuguese blouse (hatte). Between them stands an earthenware pot. The three women on the right also wear a wrap skirt; two wear a Portuguese blouse above it, the woman on the far right is drawn with a cloth around her shoulders. The tucked-in hair bun (condé) is clearly visible on the two women on the right. In front of them on the ground stand two baskets with mangoes. In the middle of the drawing stands a European man barefoot, dressed in a pleated skirt (trousers) and a short waistcoat tied tight under the chin. Underneath, a shirt with long sleeves, which protrude from the sleeves of the waistcoat at the wrists. His hair is long and wavy; on his head he wears a large hat.
