Flintlock pistol

Part of a pair. The lockplate is sparingly engraved with foliage and a signature. The round barrel is stamped at the bottom with various illegible marks. The stock is grooved at the front and ends at the rear in a separate ebony butt cap, the separation is indicated with an ivory strip; the butt cap is fitted with fictitious triangular traces under three roundels, all inlaid with ebony. The iron furniture is unadorned and consists of the trigger guard and a short, round ramrod tube; the wooden ramrod is fitted with an ebony cap.
