Double-barreled flintlock turnlock pistol

Part of a pair. The lock is partially blued; the lockplate engraved with floral vines consists of two parts and ends in the form of a monster's head. The two barrels mounted one above the other are decorated with dot-engraved guilloches and relief-carved arabesques and marked at the bottom with the letters CMAL. The stock consists of two parts, the fore-end with grooves, one of which provides space for the ramrod tube, and the grip with a cup-shaped screw plate on it of cowhorn for the single lock bolt. The furniture consists of two silver ramrod tubes engraved with flowers, an iron trigger guard with dot-engraved vines, an iron release lever to unlock the turnover mechanism, an iron buttplate with ribs and a knob, and a ramrod fitted with a silver cap engraved with a line motif.
