Sword with scabbard

Walloon sword with authentic scabbard. The iron hilt consists of a pommel with a prominent quillon knob screwed onto it and the knuckle bow attached, which extends into both the quillon with a curl at the end and a small four-leaf flower stamped on the end knob, and into the parallel bars filled with a pierced plate with circles and stars; fitted with a thumb guard; the wooden grip is thicker in the middle and wrapped with twisted iron wire of different thicknesses and a braided grip ring at the top and bottom. The straight blade is double-edged and has a fuller on both sides marked SAHAGOM and a running wolf under the fuller; stamped on the quillon with a crowned monogram BC, on one side under the coat of arms of Amsterdam. The wooden scabbard is covered with oilcloth and fitted with an iron lock, a carrying ring on the right side, and an iron chape.
