About this work

Flintlock musket for the Harlingen Civic Guard. The lock plate is engraved with the maker's signature, with the number A 1621 chiseled below it; on the inside, D.III or D.m. is stamped. The coat of arms of Amsterdam is stamped on the barrel; at the bottom, two unidentifiable marks. The stock is simply carved and stamped with a cross patée. The brass furniture includes, among other things, an acolyte-shaped screw plate, four sliding barrel bands, and a thumb plate engraved with 7 q H HARLINGEN N=8; the set of hinged straps is made of iron, and the steel ramrod is engraved with Cn No. :44.
