Officer's flintlock musket for army or militia

The lock plate is engraved with a trophy and a signature in script. The coat of arms of Amsterdam is stamped on a ring at the back of the barrel, three marks: MR, P, and an unidentifiable mark are stamped on the left at the back; under the muzzle, a bayonet socket is attached. The stock is simply carved and inlaid with silver wire. Apart from the silver thumb plate, the furniture is of gilded brass and includes, among other things, three sliding barrel bands, a thumb plate engraved with the script letters IF in a mirrored monogram and crowned with a silver-inlaid ducal crown; the set of hinged straps is made of iron; all the furniture, except the barrel bands, is engraved with trophies; all iron screw heads are chiseled, except those on the grip; the ramrod is made of steel.
