German Military Album, Second World War

German military photo album with a blue linen cover. The album contains 24 sheets of brown cardboard with 144 photographs, spiderweb paper in between. Cord through the spine. It concerns an album of a military man who was probably a radiotelegraphist in the Luftwaffe. All photographs with captions. In 1939 and 1940 many photographs of military training in Germany, various places of stay, and vacations at home. With 'Belgien und Holland geschlagen' begins the section on the Netherlands. The compiler of the album has himself photographed wearing a Dutch helmet, also photographs of unexploded English bombs, English airplanes, and damage to houses. Summer 1940 he is back in Germany. On August 30 he is promoted to Wachtmeister.
