About this work
Three rows of men walk across a grassy field. Hands on the shoulders of the man in front. To the right men in overalls, some others in shorts or long trousers. The men are being trained on the Scheleberg in Lunteren for the Landwacht. Established in November 1943 as a protection organization for the NSB after a number of attacks on prominent NSBers. Soon the Landwacht came under German control and was also used as auxiliary police. The Scheleberg was built as a holiday resort for members of the General Union for Commercial and Office Employees.
