Album page with six photos. Centrally a view of the entrance to the Plant and Animal Garden (founded in 1864) in Batavia. Above three studio portraits of Javanese men, at the bottom two photos of a dancer with musicians of wajang topeng. Part of the second green photo album with photos of Java, from the collection of pharmacist Specht-Grijp, who returned to the Netherlands from Batavia in 1865.
