About this work
The residence of Johannes Blanckenhagen on Koningsplein in Batavia. The inhabitants pose on the veranda; in front of the house are two carriages and a white horse. Part of the second green photo album with photos of Java, formerly owned by pharmacist Specht-Grijp, who returned to the Netherlands from Batavia in 1865.
