About this work
Adam and Eve stand before the Tree of Knowledge in Paradise. Eve has just received the apple from the serpent. On the ground before Adam and Eve a dog and a hedgehog. In the background a deer and a lion. In the lower margin a two-line Latin text. Mirror-image copy after the engraving by Hendrick Goltzius from 1585. Reconstructed from three fragments.
