About this work
A soldier, full-length, carrying a spear (lance) horizontally with both hands at shoulder height, his right hand at the butt of the weapon. This is the third movement for lowering the spear to pass under an overhang. This print is part of the series of 32 hand-numbered prints of spear carriers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
