About this work

A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) with both hands in front of him, the barrel pointing upwards, to bring it to his left side. In his left hand, besides the barrel of the musket, a lit match. This print is part of the series of 42 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
