About this work

A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) in his left hand at his left thigh and with his right hand inserting his ramrod into the barrel to push down the powder and ball. In his left hand, besides the musket, a fork (musket fork) and a match. This print is part of the series of 43 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
