About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) in his left hand at his left thigh and bringing his right hand to the end of his ramrod, which he rests against his right side. In his left hand, besides the musket, a match; on his left wrist, a fork (musket fork). This print is part of the series of 43 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
