About this work

A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) with his left hand by his left thigh and drawing the ramrod from the barrel with his right hand. In his left hand, besides the musket, he also holds a fork (musket fork). This print is part of the series of 43 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
