About this work

Flag of France, on the red cloth the arms of France (three fleur-de-lis on a blue field) and Navarre (yellow/golden chains on a red field) under a golden royal crown and surrounded by an order badge held by two angels. Below the two shields, a capital L between (laurel?) branches, referring to King Louis IV. On the red cloth, further fleur-de-lis scattered in a regular pattern. Flag on flagstaff and mast foot. Depicted on folio 9r. Part of a flag book with flags from Europe, North Africa, the Near and Far East.
