About this work

View of the Camdeboo plain, seen from the Sneeuberge. Drawing made during the second journey of Hendrik Swellengrebel, to the northeast of the Cape Colony, 10 September - 26 December 1776. According to the travel journal, the party passed the Sneeuberge in mid-October 1776.
