About this work

Hunting of springboks in the Camdeboo. In the distance the Sneeuberge. On the right the ox-wagons. Drawing made during the second journey of Hendrik Swellengrebel, to the northeast of the Cape Colony, 10 September - 26 December 1776. According to the travel journal, the party hunted springboks on 8 October 1776.
