About this work

Maltese cross with 'pearls' (beads) at the points, between the arms always the French lily. In the center, within an oval wreath, a representation of an angel (St. Michael) with raised arms and one foot on a lying demon. On one side, the oval wreath is decorated with white scallop shells and the angel carries a shield on the left arm; on the other side, a blue oval wreath and angel without a shield. The sword is unclear in both cases (absent?). Cross decorated with white enamel borders and green flame.
