About this work

Standing man with a barrel organ on a stand, cap in his left hand and a medal on his jacket. His left leg is missing from the knee down. The invalid war veteran tries to earn a living by begging while playing the barrel organ and singing. He sings: 'What I have and what I am, I owe to you, my fatherland!'. See the pendant.
